Interesting Reason for a Massage

According to the 2015 and 2014 AMTA Consumer Surveys The primary reason people received massage was due to health and wellness reasons.

52% of the surveyors who had a massage during that time went in for medical or health reasons such as pain management, soreness, injury rehabilitation, overall-wellness and stiffness.

33% of the surveyors who had a massage during that time went in for stress reduction and relaxation.

15% Went in for pampering and or because it feels good

and of all 91% of the surveyors agreed that a massage can be effective when it comes to reducing pain.

To this day other therapeutic benefits of massage are being researched. So far the effectiveness of massage has proven positive in the following conditions:

-cancer related fatigue
-back pain
-boosting the body's immune system function
-reducing the symptoms of carpal tuner syndrome
-lowering blood pressure
-reducing headache frequency
-easing alcohol withdrawal symptoms
-fibromyalgia
-anxiety
-sport injury
-insomnia related to stress
-digestive disorders
and so much more!
